Snake River Veterinary Center offers a full-service boarding facility, available seven days a week for dogs and cats. Our kennels are modern, spacious, odor free, and climate controlled. Dogs (that aren't chewers) are provided a comfortable Kuranda bed to lift them up off the floor. Your pet's individual quarters provide natural light and are cleaned daily. We have a large, secure exercise yard for your dog to romp and play, weather permitting, at least twice daily. Our feline guests are comfortable in their own private room, away from barking dogs and the hustle and bustle of the hospital.
Check-in and Check-out
Regular check-in and check-out days are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Charges begin on the day your pet is dropped off and for each day thereafter. Pets picked up before 11:00 am on the day of discharge will have the fee waived for the day. No pick up available on Sunday and Holidays.
Please contact our office for current rates at (208) 452-7950
We are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, our boarding facility is fully operational and our kennel staff is on duty to care for our guests. Holidays fill up early so call ahead for reservations.
Vaccinations and Parasite Control
It is mandatory that your pet is current on all vaccinations to ensure the protection of all pets under our care. The following vaccinations are required:
Dogs - annual DHLPP, semi-annual bordetella (a kennel cough), and rabies.
Cats - annual FVRCP with leukemia, and rabies.
Proof of vaccination by a licensed veterinarian is required. We accept invoices, medical records, or signed vaccination certificates. Breeder and home vaccinations are not accepted.
We recommend monthly parasite prevention including a heartworm preventative. If external parasites, such as fleas, are found on your pet, it will be treated at the owner’s expense to prevent exposure to other animals in our facility. A dewormer must be given within 30 days of boarding.
One of the biggest advantages to boarding at our facility is that veterinary attention is immediately available should the need arise. If your pet becomes ill, it will be treated by one of the veterinarians on staff unless otherwise directed.
Food and Medication
Canine guests are fed Purina Veterinary Diet EN, a diet formulated to be gentle on the GI system, decreasing the occurrence of stomach upset due to change in good and stress.
Feline guests are fed Science Diet Optimal Care which gives them well balanced, easy to digest nutrition during their stay.
*If your pet requires a special diet please bring that diet for us to feed during their stay.*
Please limit your pet's belongings to no more than two items. The items must be permanently labeled with identification. We will not be responsible for items lost, chewed, or left behind.
We encourage you to tour our facility and welcome comments or suggestions. The entire staff at Snake River Veterinary Center welcomes you and your pet to our clinic. Stop by or call to schedule your pet’s next vacation!
